Paint Your Bubble - Video

The game called “Paint Your Bubble” is demonstrated in this video, and is suggested as a part of the ChildcareAlive! activity “Managing Movement.” The goal of “Paint Your Bubble” is to teach children about personal space, which is represented by their “bubble.”

Children can mark their bubble using either floor spots or hula hoops, although hula hoops would be ideal if you have the space. Children will then practice some gross motor skills while trying to maintain their personal space.

This is another activity that uses music to start and stop the movement. Tell children the “when” before the “what.' For example: “When you hear the music, paint your bubble right in front of you.” Stop and start frequently to vary the activity. Remind children to stay in their bubble while they paint.
